By participating in this campaign and accessing the website, you will unconditionally accept to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. If you are not agreeable to these Terms and Conditions, please refrain from participating and using the website.
In any case of any violation of these rules and regulations, CSCF reserves the rights to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for such violations. These Terms and Conditions apply to all visits to this website, both now and in the future.
CSCF reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time at its sole discretion. All changes will be posted on this page, and your use of this website after such changes have been posted will constitute your agreement to the modified Terms and Conditions and all of the changes. You should therefore read this page carefully each time you visit this website.

You are responsible for the content you post. Make sure that all books read are appropriate for children. It must not contain racial, ethnical, religious, vulgarities, violence, abusive, hateful, defamatory, profane, offensive, libelous, threatening, harassing or obscene content. Video that violates these terms will be removed and reported.

Content must not violate any applicable laws or regulations in Singapore.

You will not represent yourself as another or as fictitious individual or impersonate any person or entity.

Accreditation of the original book author is required to avoid infringement of copyright with book title, author, publisher stated under the caption of all videos.

CSCF does not own the rights to the books read. All rights belong to the respective writers and publications.

You own the content that you post; by participating and posting on EveryBookaStory you also grant CSCF, the organizer, the rights and license to use the posted video and its images on our social media platforms and EveryBookaStory for related marketing and publicity purposes.

Video should not be longer than 5 minutes in MP4 format.

Limited to 1 entry per person, repeated entries will not add to the pool of books but sharing of stories on the platform is welcomed.

Video should contain no advertisements or other commercial solicitations (including the individuals), as well as no mention of cost of book and/or where to purchase the book, or it will be removed.

Videos submitted should be virus free and not used otherwise to transmit any malicious code, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment or surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information.

CSCF and its panel of judges will have the final decision with regards to the beneficiary schools, and the number of books donated to selected schools will be based on the basis of library size and the number of students per book ratio. Schools who are already awarded under CSCF’s School Library Sponsorhsip Program will not be included in the list. List of schools can be found here.

Third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube will be used for this campaign. CSCF does not own and has no control over these platforms. Hence, CSCF will assumes no responsibility for the contents, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

CSCF does not warrant that the EveryBookaStory site or any of the third-parties site and their contents are virus free. You must take your own precautions in this aspect as we will not be held responsible for any infection by viruses or other contamination which has destructive properties.

CSCF does our best to provide constant update of the EveryBookaStory web page and social media platforms to ensure all videos are uploaded and donated numbers are tracked and updated on a timely manner. However, should there be any technical issues, CSCF will not be held accountable for any interruption or delay.
Data Protection Policy

Information of all participants will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed, or cause or permit to be disclosed, to any person or entity without the participants’ official approval.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, some examples of personal data which we may collect from you include your name and identification information such as your NRIC (last 4 digits of NRIC) number, contact information such as your address, email address or telephone number, nationality, gender, date of birth, marital status, photographs and other audio-visual material.

Purpose for data collection is for:
(i) Verifying your identity
(ii) Providing customer service and support in respond to your queries, feedback, complaints and requests.
(iii) Meeting or complying with any applicable rules, laws, regulations, codes of practice or guidelines issued by any legal or regulatory bodies which are binding on IPOS (including but not limited to
responding to regulatory complaints, disclosing to regulatory bodies and conducting audit checks,
due diligence and investigations);
(iv) If you have provided your email address and have indicated that you consent to receiving
marketing or promotional information via your email address, then from time to time, CSCF may
continue to contact you with information about our products and services, unless you have withdrawn
your consent.
4. Disclosure of Personal Data
CSCF will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data against unauthorised disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law, your Personal Data may be disclosed by CSCF, for the purposes listed above (where applicable), whether they are located overseas or in Singapore.
Withdrawing your Consent:

The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request in writing or via email to our employee in charge at the contact details provided below.

Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process your request within ten (10) business days of receiving it.

Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our goods or services to you and we shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform us in writing in the manner described in clause 1 above.

Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
Social Media Consent Form
I hereby authorise Chou Sing Chu Foundation to use my photo and/or information related to my submission for EveryBookaStory. I understand this information may be used in publications, including electronic publications, letters to area legislator and media and/or other similar ways.
My consent is freely given as a public service to Chou Sing Chu Foundation, without expecting payment. I release Chou Sing Chu Foundation and their respective employees, from any and all liability which may arise from the use of such news media stories, promotional materials, written articles, videotape and/or photographs.
By completing the registration form I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against Chou Sing Chu Foundation utilizing this material for above purposes.
Governing Law
This Data Protection Policy, your browsing of our websites, and use of our applications and/or digital services shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Singapore.
